But let’s start from the beginning.
Lily Comba’s career in influencer marketing began at Thrive Market in 2016, back when the term “influencer” wasn’t even widely adopted. During her four years there, she tested the first YouTube integration, Instagram Story campaign, Podcast spot—you name it. And by the time that she departed the organization, she had evolved to become the sole manager for all YouTube partners, which at the time was a top revenue-driving channel.
In October 2020, Seed recruited Lily to create and scale their influencer program, having laid the groundwork with SeedUniversity. They had the platform ready, but it was time to launch the rocket. Over the course of 2.5 years, Lily scaled their program tremendously—generating over $100 million in revenue from influencer campaigns alone. Six months into her time at Seed is when Marti Rose Shanker entered the picture.
OurAnti-Agency Agency
We do not have agency experience. We have in-house experience. We speak the languages of your brand, growth, product development, member services, and finance teams. We’re building our agency from intention, not from tradition—by leaning into the importance of acting like an extension of your in-house team. It’s not that the conventional agency model doesn’t work, it certainly does. It’s that we want to work differently.
Performance-driven strategy. Human-first campaigns.
For any influencer program to succeed, brands need to equally prioritize hitting performance goals and maintaining strong relationships. At scale. That’s our secret sauce. We come with years of industry experience, which means we have proven tactics for successful influencer campaigns (from negotiation to briefing), an extensive list of trusted talent managers (with the ability to turn cold leads, warm), and a reputation that’s undeniably positive.
